I think a more appropriate name for this book would be, "Kid Favorites Made Healthier". I was a bit disappointed at the lack of vegetable dishes... or at least ones my family would eat. Having said that, I have actually used this book a lot. The recipes are simple and easily adaptable, for example, I'll use whole grain pastas and tortillas instead of the regular "white" ones called for in the recipes. Until we start changing the way we approach food, of course kids are going to be eating crap. Why don't we make chips that aren't fried and coated in cheese? Then we could have more than 4, feel satisfied, and not have glutted ourselves. Ugh- I find it frustrating. ...more

The Brain Power Salad is a favorite. Some good recipes for everything from fun drinks to chicken fingers. Some recipes are variations of popular options and many are very sodium heavy, so I tend to pick-and-choose

Nice colorful recipes...I was hoping to adapt them for my finicky habits, but they really are angled towards "fun" recipes for kids. Cute. Nice colorful recipes...I was hoping to adapt them for my finicky habits, but they really are angled towards "fun" recipes for kids. Cute. ...more
